CEO Handbook

I. CEO IDENTITY & PURPOSE

1. Why This Business Exists

Toya’s Next Level Tutoring, LLC exists to educate without exploitation.
This business was built to:

  • Serve students with integrity
  • Break generational academic barriers
  • Operate with dignity, structure, and professionalism

This is not a hustle.
This is a legacy vehicle.

2. Who I Serve

I serve:

  • Serious learners
  • Supportive families
  • Students willing to do the work

I do not serve:

  • Last-minute panic
  • Disrespectful communication
  • People who mistake kindness for weakness

3. My Non-Negotiables

I will:

  • Protect my peace
  • Enforce policies without guilt
  • Require payment before service
  • Uphold academic integrity

I will never again:

  • Work unpaid
  • Discount out of guilt
  • Negotiate my worth
  • Sacrifice peace for money

4. Boundary Statement (Core Truth)

My kindness is not weakness.

My flexibility is not availability.

My expertise is not up for debate.

II. ETHICS, INTEGRITY & STUDENT RESPONSIBILITY

1. Academic Integrity (Zero Tolerance)

I guide learning.
I do not:

  • Complete assignments
  • Assist with cheating
  • Allow plagiarism

Any violation results in immediate termination.

I refuse to contribute to students becoming statistics.
I prepare them for real life — not shortcuts.

2. Responsibility Philosophy

Students must:

  • Show up prepared
  • Participate actively
  • Take ownership of learning

Parents must:

  • Respect boundaries
  • Support consistency
  • Trust the process
III. OPERATIONS & CAPACITY PROTECTION

1. Business Model

  • Virtual-only tutoring
  • Primary platform: Google Meet
  • Backup: Zoom (at my discretion)

I do not troubleshoot tech beyond reason.

2. Time Authority

My time is:

  • Finite
  • Valuable
  • Non-refundable

I do not bend time for:

  • Poor planning
  • Emergencies without fees
  • Disrespect

3. Weekly Capacity Rule

My sustainable cap is 16 sessions per week.

More than this:

  • Creates exhaustion
  • Reduces quality
  • Violates my peace

I will not exceed this cap without intentional adjustment.

IV. MONEY, PRICING & SELF-WORTH

1. Pricing Philosophy

My prices reflect:

  • My education
  • My experience
  • My emotional labor
  • My preparation time

Pricing is not emotional.
Pricing is strategic.

2. Payment Authority

Rules:

  • No invoice = no service
  • No payment = no scheduling
  • Invoices expire in 24 hours
  • No refunds after termination

I do not chase money.
I release unpaid availability.

3. Guilt Detox

I release the belief that:

  • I must overgive to be worthy
  • Flexibility equals kindness
  • Saying no is harmful

Saying no protects everyone.

V. DECISION-MAKING & CEO AUTHORITY

1. Final Authority Rule

All decisions rest with me:

  • Scheduling
  • Fit
  • Pricing
  • Termination

I do not over-explain decisions.

2. “Not a Fit” Is Enough

I do not justify declines.
I do not apologize for boundaries.
I do not negotiate standards.

3. Emotional Detachment Rule

Client emotions are not directives.

I lead with:

  • Calm
  • Consistency
  • Policy
VI. ENFORCEMENT & CONSEQUENCES

1. Enforcement Is Not Personal

Policies apply equally.
Consistency builds respect.

2. Escalation Structure

  1. Policy reminder
  2. Final warning
  3. Termination

Termination is:

  • Professional
  • Calm
  • Final

3. No Rescue Mode

I do not:

  • Rush
  • Fix panic
  • Absorb stress

I support learning — not chaos.

VII. LEGACY, REVIEW & COMMITMENT

1. Annual Review Promise

Each year I will review:

  • Capacity
  • Revenue
  • Peace level
  • Alignment

If it costs my peace, it costs too much.

2. Generational Commitment

This business honors:

  • My grandmother’s kindness
  • My mother’s strength
  • My future stability

I do not dishonor them by overextending myself.

3. CEO Oath (Read Monthly)

I am the CEO of Toya’s Next Level Tutoring, LLC.
I choose sustainability over sacrifice.
I choose structure over stress.
I choose peace without apology.
